Maxim Extends Authorization to Repurchase Shares
SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 18, 2002--Maxim Integrated Products, Inc., (Nasdaq:MXIM - news) announced today that its Board of Directors has approved an extension of the share repurchase authorization announced on Thursday, February 28, 2002. The extension allows the Company to repurchase up to 10 million shares of its Common Stock from time to time between the date of this authorization and the end of the open market of the Company's fiscal year 2003. The number of shares to be repurchased and the timing of those purchases will be based on several factors, including the price of Maxim stock, general market and business conditions, and other factors.
