Mr. Robert Blakestad of International Taurus reports
FENELON MINE CONSTRUCTION ADVANCES RAPIDLY; GEOPHYSICAL SURVEYING FOR
DIAMONDS IN PROGRESS
International Taurus Resources, operator of the Fenelon joint venture in
northwestern Quebec, has completed the new mine portal. The decline ramp
has penetrated 30 metres underground. From this point, work will focus on
driving the main ramp, which will provide access to the underground areas
targeted for test mining and for proving up already identified high-grade
resources. According to the current schedule, the first mineralization can
be extracted approximately four months after the start of the ramp. The JV
is planning to process mined ore to Richmont Mines' Camflo mill near
Val-d'Or, Que. All necessary permits have been secured and the JV will
apply for a full mining licence once the feasibility study and mining test
are under way. As the new mine project progresses, additional drilling will
be conducted to add minable reserves to the resources already identified.
As cash flow is realized, the JV will continue to explore and develop the
property's additional highly promising prospects.
International Taurus president Robert Blakestad comments from the mine
site: "It's extremely gratifying to be on hand and part of the new Fenelon
mine development. Work progresses rapidly without significant problems. One
area of strong mineralization is exposed at the decline entrance and two
new zones of mineralized rock have been cut by the workings. We continue to
be impressed with the character and extent of this high-grade gold deposit,
which support our belief that the project will be developed into the next
profitable new mining venture in northwestern Quebec."
In other news, Mr. Blakestad reports that Majescor Resources is conducting
detailed ground geophysical surveys on the Fenelon property. Over a dozen
potential diamond targets are being tested preparatory to drilling selected
anomalies. Results will be provided as they become available.
