PCMAG tested the MMX with Adobe Photoshop, supposedly "MMX Compatible".

I checked out this version of Photoshop (4.0) and it mentions a PLUG-IN that is MMX compatible. This implies that perhaps the entire software package is not MMX enabled, but just those processes that use the specific MMX Plug-In.

PCMAG never mentioned what Plug-In, if any, they tested the MMX to.

So, I'd say the jury is still out on this whole issue.

Tomorrow, the real story will start to unfold.
