I2, One reason Cary might not use stop loss orders. On over the counter stocks whenever I ask a broker for a stop loss he has refused. I just tried on line with Fidelity and I get the following message.

Attention: Stop orders placed on over the counter securities may be cancelled anytime at the market makers discretion.

I wouldn't have much faith in a stop loss after that message. I would love to hear Cary's thoughts on why he sold seeing that I just sold the same stocks because I thought they where way ahead of themselves and also I was way overloaded with tech stocks in my portfolio. I would love to buy them back at lower levels. Time will tell.
