KHS, of course this is just my opinion, but I see GSPN's buying of Pairgain and others as a means to stay competitive or to catch back up and am not sure it will work. Jerald G. Fishman of ADI served as a director of AWRE the first year AWRE went public. ADI and Intel have a deal going currently to develop DSPs. An announcement on the results of this project should be forth-coming any day. I'm guessing there is some language written into the deals AWRE has with chip makers which makes it unappealing to buy or takeover AWRE. It would be more likely for ADI to be bought by Intel...than AWRE by one of the other two. My 2¢.
