According to their press release, the 1st generation Mpact chip is available since september 96. But there is no design win for them so far! I guess they are too ahead for the market! Just like 3D lab had the 3D chip way ahead of S3, but look at what happen S3 captured 50% of the 3D market so far. I think S3 is good at predicting what the market needs and provides the chip with the right price and feature.
