It is seems to be the case for just about the entire Western world. Why? Could it be that affluence - and human nature - cannot peacefully coexist? The moment humans don’t have to work hard to survive, they start living out all kinds of fantasies and brainy priorities. Like, ideas of uber-fairness… Saving the world from various dangers… Working out existential issues, like 75 different sexes? Forcing other people and nations - and even history itself - to follow our current higher standards?

Idle minds… arrogance… Towers of Babel, etc.
