Could be a smart move, who knows. Good luck. I used to do stop limit orders but got burned a few times when the stock would move down, I'd get taken out and then the stock would shoot back up again. But if you can lock in a profit, there's nothing wrong with that. Now I prefer protective puts or covered calls. Speaking of covered calls (and I guess I'm the only one around here who does), they have really softened the blow for me over these past few days. BB never mentions them except in passing, but every tool has its place, and covered calls are a great tool in a plunging market.
