And all Chinese tech giants have a lower valuation than US tech giants due to fears the Chinese government will interfere with their business in a way that is not focused on them making profit.

It's a good reason to never own Chinese stocks. You should have much less confidence that you can forecast their future returns, because the Chinese government might screw it all up.

Sort of like how did owning Russian stocks work for investors when Ukraine got the invastion treatment?
