DENVER, Sept. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Webb Interactive Services, Inc. (Nasdaq: WEBB) announced a partnership with Corel Corporation (Nasdaq: CORL). This announcement expands on the two company's existing relationship in web publishing and graphic services. Webb will create a Linux-based Instant Message service, based on the Jabber.org open source, XML-based instant messaging platform. Corel plans to integrate the Jabber IM capability into the Corel Linux Desktop, providing Corel users with one of the most advanced and open instant messaging solutions on the market. In addition to the distribution of Webb's implementation of Jabber IM, Webb and Corel will be working together to expand the messaging service with innovative new approaches to community and customer support services. CommunityWare/XML is Webb's new integrated suite of community applications that integrates the Jabber.org Instant Messaging system. In August, Corel and Webb announced a partnership focused on graphic services and web publishing.
