You might want to look at Teksavvy and see if it makes any sense to switch your phone to them. They offer LD as well but ... didn't have a calling card. I can use the calling card from the US too I believe. Never hurts to check. And no, NOT VOIP. Copper wires. The only thing Tek doesn't do is offer "bundled phone features". But they are not gouging you either per feature. Call Display, Waiting, Answer -- still $3 each. I did pay a $25 activation fee - but recouped that a while ago.

Bottom line - if you find the package you want and it is a "good deal" stick with it. But, there is choice.

Yak for me is dinged off my credit card - and invoiced separately - Teksavvy only charges for it's services. Bell at one point wouldn't allow me to pay with a credit card - not sure if that has changed but don't care.

Good that you are happy with Rogers. Torrents are peer to peer transfers - which is what Bell has messed with - some method of "traffic shaping" they know you are using a torrent and slow you down. Rogers did the same thing but just prevented it outright. So the question remains. I don't use torrents as much as I use to but do rely on them.

I am against shifting all my business to one firm. Period. To me freedom to choose is worth more than the savings. Just me.
