Isn't it true, Scotsman, that Sun wants to use Java to steal the OS from MSFT? Anyway, regardless of what the memo says, MSFT didn't steal it; they licensed it from Sun. And yes, MSFT does have a right to modify Java as they see fit--> the DOJ is arguing even now that PC mfrs have the right to modify Win95/98 so the opening screen says whatever they want it to. And indeed, MSFT demonstrated an out-of-box HP computer today that has Netscape *gasp!* pre-loaded as the default browser.

Oh oh...and here we all were led to believe that MSFT didn't allow this, which was cutting off poor NSCP. So much for that charge.
