Re. PacBell DSL:

1) They are bundling with Alcatel modems; a competitor of Aware, I believe.
2) FWIW: We ordered and got their equipment installed without hassles. A small technical glitch when they tried it out (a mistake in a table entry), but otherwise beautiful. And once up, it has stayed up for months, now. Hard to even contemplate going back to a modem (dial-in ...... connect ..... slow ......)

However, it did require a truck roll and a few hours of a technician's time to set it up. Multiply that by a few hundred thousand and I can appreciate the attraction of Aware's G.lite or the use of microfilters (no truck-roll).
