j b - precisely - of course, one has to have reasoned judgement about what is good or bad for the country. I, for one, believe our system of government is sufficiently sound to allow for the removal of any official.

I think one of the reasons for the rabid defense (not really defense, more like diversionary attack) from the Democrats is that they really do know how far out of bounds the Clinton Gore team was on fund raising, and they rightly assume Gore as President might be very short lived as well; none of them want to talk about being Gore's VP for fear they'll be seen running against the present WH. But how ironic - the fastest way for one of them to become President is to vote for impeachment, buddy up to President Gore, take the VP oath and wait for another investigation sink ol' Al.

Fresh start. Country is tired of the mess so they turn to the new Democrat and "re" elect him in 2000. Hmm. I wonder how many of them are working behind the scenes for that scheme? <g>
