Too much hand wringing going on.
This morning I was helping a friend with errands and we stopped at a building tenanted by folk on disability, pensioners, and working folk.
An elderly woman came out and there were the usual good mornings and then she said, "I'm going to the Freedom Rally!" and off she went.
Last weekend, and this one, every Canadian town of significance had a "Truckers' Rally" but a hell of a lot of people attending were not truckers, they were families with children, old folk, and lots of young workers.
What's going on? It's what I call "assortative political choice." Very Darwinian, sort of.
The most common job anywhere, is 'driver'. Huge number of people. Because it's a huge number the distribution of IQ follows that of the whole population. They are workers and many of them are in business and necessarily some of them are really smart and fast on their feet.
What they're doing is deliberately, in your face, giving the Canadian elite the middle finger.
Next elections, all across Canada, they're gonna do it again.
Gonna happen in the US, also. |
