"Mr. Bush ...balancing the budget by 2012." LOL! A two term administration with eight straight years of federal deficits, adding to the national debt each and every year, is now projecting a budget glide-path that will continue to burden the next President's first term with additional federal deficits for four more years... and is guesstimating that after that a 'balanced budget' will be achieved. (Pardon me if I hold my applause long enough for the mordant laughter to clear the room.... With so much officially 'off budget' --- the ever-increasing 'war supplementals', the massive transfer payment imbalances, the Boomers' retirements beginning in earnest right about then, I'm tempted to say: "Just who the Hell do they believe will swallow this crap?")
