If the thread was about money we could just list symbols to buy/sell and do so. It's really about having an effect on each others behavior. So if Tim wants to have an effect other than money accumulation, ie. on the quality of life, then he has to use some leverage other than "just talk". Look at it like this: if he was singing his picks in Latvian we wouldn't complain, we'd just make sure we got the symbols right and that it was a good source. It's not extortion, it's the medium of the thread, money. Didn't somebody say the medium is the message? Now back to counting the shekels.
