I’m conservative and selfish. It has nothing to do with conservative authority. It is simply a matter of the struggle implicit in human nature. I would be five hundred pounds and living in a brothel if I didn’t struggle against those tendencies. Though I have plenty of money to live on, I haven’t bought a new shirt or pants for myself in over 12 years. I could live comfortably on my savings for the rest of my life if I so chose but I still work and I enjoy it most when I am most productive. I get good clothes from thrift stores and am not embarrassed for it. My cars are almost 15 years old. I live in an old apartment. I try to build my savings but I don’t hesitate to give to charity and I spend open-handedly on family and friends. I don’t usually mention these things but no one here knows me, so it’s not really revealing anything personal. A frugal act is an act of conservatism. I live as simply as possible, I wish well for others and contribute to that end where ever I can. I am happy with this lifestyle. I don’t speak for others of course.

Be careful with those branding statements about all conservatives pal,

Live well,
