I wondered the same thing when the buying came in. The PR may be a little vague in that it says shares will be issued on a one for four basis to shareholders on record as of May 1 (whatever date was). It doesn't say for shares held on that date. A question in my mind would be if I held shares on that date and was a shareholder, could I now load up to get more spin off shares. I can say that I certainly would not have been loading up without knowing for sure. But I would guess you would have a case based on was was actually stated. I will be watching for a clarification which IMO will have a new date for shareholders on record.
