Socket 8 required, I ran into a problem a few years back, my Dell 166 was a socket 5 and upgrading to the faster overdrives had problems.

Put another 32 to 64 MB or RAM and you should be fine.

If you need a new hard drive and video card, then you are better off buying a new computer. All you need is just the box if your monitor is working fine.
