Looks like an interest rate reduction rally, and it looks like Alan is going to let the economy grow.

After all, you don't want to crash world financial markets when Hong Kong goes back to China. Maybe the Fed won't step on the brakes too hard while the car is doing 100 miles an hour on wet pavement.

Maybe they will just let it slow down a little on its own, and not upset the applecart during the month of July 1997.
