I think we should wait & see how things will unfold in S.A. in the next little while -- I'm not concerned about the quirky law thats been exploited in this case... I think that's one of the points RG/SUF lawyers are investigating, before the case returns to court (if it does). So, hang in there -- no reason to panic, IMHO!
