So it goes... ;) And this sort of thing has been going on for quite some time.

There was a rumor some time ago that if you held down the right combination of keys while booting Windows 95 you would see a picture of Bill Gates' horse 'Nugget'.

Heh.

So some of the pranks are funny and some aren't.

I truly wish that we could trace the origin of such pranks and prosecute them to the limit of the law and beyond.


Well we can... and many time the origin of these sorts of things is eventually traced. But it may suprise you how many of them started out as an ACTUAL honest rumors. And this was one. The original emailer was contacted and claims that it was a 'friend of a friend'.
