I suspect that China is quite happy with the Taiwan situation as it stands. Taiwan recently helped them develop their own chip industry. Their business, trade are quite integrated. But, foreign “experts” are drumming the drums so hard about them fixing to take Taiwan that NOT doing so may begin to look like loss of face. And that’s something they do not want. So, we shall see.
