A 3 mb file would take you about 8 minutes to download on dialup, 15 seconds on 1.5 dsl, and a couple of seconds on 4-5 cable connection. A 25 mb file would be about and hour, 2 minutes, and 45 seconds respectively. 3 mbs per second is not slow. Unless you are doing a lot of large downloads you should be fine. If at all possible, never go back to dialup. You will spend a lot of time waiting for webpages to load. I would seriously consider giving up my computer if I were to go back to dailup. JMO
