This is "electricity" that is free from noise, and well regulated. For example, if you required 24 volts d.c. to power your system, then you would want exactly 24 volts. Not, 23 or 25 volts. Well, clean electricity means that you you would get 24 volts +/- some very small percentage. Also, you would get this level of voltage all the time, independent of what the Power Company my provide. "Brown-out" would not affect you.
