To All of You Who (or is it whom) Have Weathered Today's Storm:

Well, I had the most enjoyable day off I've had in several years. Unfortunately, I must return to the real world tomorrow, but I hope all you independently wealthy computer nuts will keep the faith and make this thread something we can all continue to be proud of. Who knows, in 20 or 30 years, when we reach post # 1,000,000, (and I know how proud I will be on that great day), you can all look back and tell the grandkids, "Hey, I was there on the Slick Boinked Monica page the day it was born." (Can you hear the violins? I know I can.)

It's our own little piece of American History, and who knows, it could rank right up there with the day Silly Putty first went on the market. It was a gamble, I know, but it paid off nicely for all of those with the forsight, (need I say chutzpah), to really stick to their guns and fight the good fight.

And so, it is with a touch of sadness, (but nothing remotely resembling the desire to cut someone's tongue off), and with a hearty hi-ho, and most of all my very best wishes to all of you, that I remain, hoping I'm wrong but thinking I'm probably not, pete
