Thanks for the info on Compaq's new plan...it seems like they do everything wrong, they just dont understand, do they? Either you use the retail or you dont: if you do both you do, indeed, enrage the retailers and there are plenty of other machines to sell. I feel more comfortable now about CPQ's move.
