Alan, Caution is the byword until issues in Asia have clarified a bit. I would be interested however, in how much cash is on the sidelines now- probably a lot higher than it was pre-October world market antics.
At some point that cash will flow back into the market, and things will move. I'll probably stay fully invested in the market and buy a few trailing puts to protect my position when necessary. Indeed tax loss selling coupled with the "January Effect" sometimes you can make 25-50% on your money in just a couple of weeks bull or bear market. The turndown was so dramatic in tech stocks at the end of 1997, which is accentuated by tax loss selling that I believe that this may be a year to do just that. So I'm betting on CREAF, and stocks like SECX, SEMX, ICO, ASND, KLIC, and INVX, amongst others.... Good luck!
