That won't happen. He will serve out his term in ever-diminishing esteem from the citizens of this country....but they will just let him go. The Republicans are the ones who will finally serve to isolate him. They have to be reelected and being seen in a photo with GWB, or being asked again and again if they support his unpopular policies...will cause the break. Novak's column is an early warning sign. He is wired into the congressional republican establishment and the anger, frustration and outrage expressed by his sources will only increase in the months ahead. When Republicans regularly refer to the President and his administration as "incompetent", you have to wonder just how long they are willing to publicaly carry his water. Not long, I bet.
