good editorial by Locke I was drawn to: "the meltdown in U.S. corporate ethics is not just a blip on Wall Street's radar screen but one of the deepest threats to the orderly function of America's capital markets since the 1930s."
it does bother me that within political arenas, those who ardently promote higher morality seem to antagonize so many I refer to abortion and permissiveness generally our national moral compass seems broken we are now urging "God Bless America" but at the same time for God to get out of town hall and schools it seems we want God to help us and be with us, but unequivocally on our terms
when Oral Roberts in the mid-1990's urged for a flood of donations because God had personally inspired him, I thought Roberts was deserving of a wire fraud indictment and harsh punishment but nothing happened
when Tammy and her jerkweed husband served prison sentences for theft and fraud, I was pleased
I just wish the Christian political movement were not such a parade of antagonistic arrogant alientating animals I am a Christian who cringes at the counter-productive work by several key figures
Locke's article was righton appropriate US national pride and arrogance has never been greater it has been steadily rising since the fall of the Soviet Union and the Berlin Wall Clinton-Rubin's Strong Dollar is part of this National Movement our culture is widely copied
but stern warnings to those who copy our Money & Banking system and good luck with pants that are hiked down past your glutei (both maximus and minimus) we are now looking to ghettos for clothing trend guidance what an effing joke! and if they copy our urban rap music crappola, good luck to them their inner cities may not harbor the requisite anger for acceptance that rap music sucks, and will die before long
we like to think as a nation that all things within our economic system are perfect and worthy for emulation but the debt-based economy has a finite lifespan that is the central lesson now to be learned Locke's reference to 1930 is a hint of Kondratieff awareness the K-wave cycle is roughly one human lifespan i.e. 75 years
I think we are knee-deep stuck in debt excess suffocation marked and identified by suffocating debt in every corner of the american economic system I think the world awareness is growing and in response gradually will come an increasing unwillingness to finance our federal debt esp if we embark on more adventures, replete with accidents where entire wedding parties die as "collateral damage" with zero apology the end result is rising interest rates, as economic stagnation, rising warmonger costs, and unchecked socialist spending will be difficult to finance unavoidable upcoming -- RISING INTEREST RATES
I hate arrogance in the past I have been accused of it regularly it is hard to stop, to change, to become humble surely, some remnants are still with me but on a national level, it is growing without bounds / jim |
