Bernard...check out Packard Bell's low end machine for 999. It comes with everything: Pentium 120, 16 megs of EDO, 1.2 gig HD, 64 bit video card, trick BBE sound card, 33.6 modem, 8 speed CD ROM, 14 inch monitor, and a ton of software. I got my first computer ( a hand me down 486 33mhz) and quickly upgrade it to a pentium 75mhz with a new HD, more memory, new video card, modem, and CD ROM. Could have gotten a brand new Pentium for few hundred less, albeit, a no name brand. Joe
