Currencies are always volatile. I haven't made a preconceived determination that the dollar is going to be toilet paper anytime soon. It's possible but not preordained.

It's also possible that the dollar substantially appreciates over the next year. I'm watching all pieces of the global market puzzle to watch for signs.

Right now, drum tight credit spreads, a 4.6% long bond, subdued commodities, strong banks/brokers all tell me that the stock market environment is still bullish. These episodes that cause the market to bend but not break seem to always result in a snap back rally.

I see nothing ominous in the near term horizon.
