Hi CH, If you take a look at my "ZEAL" component of the Idiot Wave, you'll see that we have had a contraction in the number of issues available for trading for quite some time. Historically, for the very reasons you state, this has been a long term bullish sign. The NASDAQ peaked at nearly 6000 issues traded weekly and now its down to under 5200.
