Bill B - real time quotes are absolutely essential to any trading. You can get the NYSE real time quotes free on CNBC and FNN. The rest you would have to get from private vendors. Signal is one of the better ones. Then, there are many brokerages that will makell make real time quotes available to you over the internet or by phone - if you trade a lot with them. The cost varies among all of the vendors, but expect to pay in the vicinity of $200 at least. Professionals pay more - much more because of their increased exchange fees. I save lots and lots of money by getting mine through electonic means via my brokerage. Good trading. Jack
