Three weeks ago Boulder Sheriff's officer Duke Trujillo posted on Facebook a badge surrounded by a border saying "I have an immune system" with the text, "I don't care if you've had your vaccine." Sheriff Trujillo also shared an Instagram post, "Before you shame me in public for not wearing a mask, ask yourself one simple question," the post said. "Will this mask stop an uppercut?" . As you may have guessed, Sheriff Trujillo, age 33, died of Covid last week on May 26 in the hospital surrounded by his family. The Boulder County Sheriff told reporters both officers who have died from Covid had been eligible for vaccination since January.
