I don't think consensus makes things "right" in any absolute sense, because I do not believe in absolutes. But here, in this country, I think the precedent of making businesses serve people regardless of sex or race or religion, makes sense, and keeps society ticking along better than if we could exclude people based on those things. Times when people WERE allowed to exclude people based on those things were pretty ugly, so I would suggest to you that ugly history weighs in heavily against your position- unless, of course, you don't think that particular history is ugly. And if you don't, well, there's nothing more to say about that. We'll just have to disagree about that- since I think the history of denying people services based on class membership was corrosive and destructive to our society.
