Paul and thread, A few days ago someone referred to a chart which I posted way back in 1997. The chart, from Forbes 7/7/97 issue, compared the adoption of technologies by showing the the fraction of households that enjoy each product to the number of years from the date of invention. Here's that reference: forbes.com The numbers were and still are illuminating. The three fastest growing technologies compared, the PC, cell phone and the Internet, have all come a long way in the last two years. The PC at 50% of households only 24 years from it's invention, compares to electricity, which took 55 years to reach the same plateau. I don't know the numbers now for the Internet and cell phones but the rate of adoption has been incredible. If one has the time, the entire 7/7/97 issue is well worth assimilating. Barry
