rruff, I have no problem with the pre-emptive strike theory. We have some of the best systems on earth in this country and if it needs for our troops to get in there to thwart elements who threaten the civilized norms of behavior widely accepted by the global community, then the US can play the leadership role and send in troops to force the issue. But the US policy should be consistent and not dictated by personal interests that I think is happening in Iraq. We should have and still do have time to cordon off Pakistan with India's help and go after those Osama bastards. Have a naval blockade, work with Russia and China to establish that cordon and go in choke mode. Instead someone out in DC decides to change the entire focus and go after Saddam. We should have finished off Osama fo;lks first and cripple them so that they could not come back the way they have done in Iraq with the bombing of the Jordanian embassy and the UN building. These bombing are no doubt aided and abetted by Saddam loyalists no doubt, but the Al-Qaeda is the mastermind behind these.
