I'm not nearly that pessimistic. I think that most the info is out there, and it is usually apparent in the wording of news reports that they are well aware of this. Most of these bogus reports don't actually state the bogus result, they imply it. Just read carefully and you see this all the time. That way, when they get called on their crap, they can point out that they didn't in fact say what you are claiming they said. And its usually true. Its all careful innuendo. Both the right and the left do this, and almost every major news source. News reporting on both the right and the left is about selling to willing consumers, so news now consists of not out right lying, but carefully juxtaposing partial facts so that the consumer goes away believing what they want to believe, and hence has happy feelings about the news source and will keep coming back for more.
