What a load of rubbish? Basically screwing the company doing the IPO by bringing it out at bargain prices (from the open market perspective) and distributing these shares to favored clients is fair and promotes stability. But actions taken by open market participants, with no special connections, to short the stock because they perceive it to be overvalued / hyped is "destablizing". Talk about biased perceptions! Ira
