do you subscribe to netscape newsgroups? if you don't, i will go there and post your predicament and see what we can determine. from what i've heard, it seems that some of your netscape files are corrupted. but we should get some others in on this. some netscape specialists <g3>.
so tell me specifically,
1) when you open your browser, what is the url that shows in the location bar?
2) when you click on 'my netscape' and the porno site pops up (no pun there), what is the url that shows in the location bar?
3) any other details that describe what happens? when it happens? how it happens?
back on the subject of antivirus software, you said that you have norton av running all the time. what version? 2.0? 3.0? 4.0? 5.0? do you retrieve updates? do you run virus scans?
also, remember you can try those suggestions about the 'preferences' link and changing your password, then creating a new 'my netscape' home page.
but a good thing to try next is ... you can create a new profile in communicator and see if that gets rid of the unwanted site. don't delete your existing one, just create another one. to create a new profile, close your browser. then click start, programs, netscape communicator, utilities, user profile manager. follow onscreen instructions.
