Interesting read

For example, I helped start a company called Epigram, which is working with Chromatic Research. Epigram is doing some interesting work in home networking using digital-subscriber-line-like technologies to do cheap and ubiquitous networking in the home. It turns out that using DSL-like techniques is a great thing because you can send tens of Mbits of data over your existing phone wiring. The processing requirements to do that far outstrip the capabilities of the Pentium.
