Hi Web Myst; Re: "Partly thanks to your effort <?>, I was able to pick up enough shares at 7s and even bought some more at low 8s." My posts have no effect on the stock price. In fact, no posts on SI, Yahoo, or the Fool have ever effected the stock price of RMBS.
There are some small cap pump-n-dump stocks where the stock price gets moved by internet posts, but RMBS is way too big. Rambus moves on news reported to the financial press. Best evidence for this comes from things like the March 15th Markman ruling. It was widely reported in the trade press (like ebnonline, ee-times and the like) a day before it hit anything that the street reads. It was talked about all over this thread, but the stock opened the next morning with almost no stock movement. Then, when the Markman news got copied onto Bloomberg (which is part of the financial press), the stock dropped rapidly.
Re the side bet. The end of the year is too close, compared to the volatility of RMBS. I already have a bet that the stock's going to be less than $18.84 at that time, why should I take on your offer? So lets take that bet out to April 27th (9 months from now), and you're on.
As far as "what" to bet, forget any exchange of material goods &c. You saw what happened to Scumbria, I value my privacy more than he does, and I don't want you guys calling me up at 3AM and threatening to kill me because you're suffering from the combined delusions of (1) Rambus hasn't been lying to you, (2) TeamDDR is organized, (3) Bilow has an effect on the stock price (LOL!!!). Anyway, I'm not going to give you out any contact information, forget about it. But nice try! Heck, even if you figure out a way to pay off a bet while maintaining absolute privacy I'm not interested.
Money is not my primary motivation here. Convincing anyone to sell RMBS is not my motivation either. Hey, if I had my druthers, techfuture would still be invested in this POS and deeply underwater. I'm here to tell you in advance that you're an idiot, and then to slowly watch events play out that demonstrate this fact. You've already given me plenty of posts to later remind you of, if I feel like it.
