Remember the SmootHawley Tariff

"It was an act implementing protectionist trade policies sponsored by Senator Reed Smoot and Representative Willis C. Hawley and was signed into law on June 17, 1930. The act raised U.S. tariffs on over 20,000 imported goods."

It was a major contributor to the great depression:

Trump does not believe in multi lateral trade agreements which is nuts!!

He is forcing our allies to unite against us and they are stronger than we are.

And in a trade war, they can work with each other to make up what we put tariffs on, and so avoid being harmed, but we have no such defense.

And if he thinks we can rely on Russia or China to make up the difference he is more nuts.

Trump is sooo stupid!!

And the people supporting him are making a huge mistake which they will come regret.
