Becky: There are so many rules and disciplines that must be followed to become, and stay, successful. Limiting it to three is very difficult. On any day, my main three may change but today they would be:

1) Always have a goal with each trade, and stick to it.
2) Always learn form each mistake or success
3) Keep greed in check by knowing your limits and maintaining perspective.

I run the Inner Circle thread here on SI and everyone there is always welling to help new traders. Additionally, we have also set up tigerinvestor.com. There are many many articles there to help new traders. Most of them are in the "Archives", you can find the link to the archives below the current articles.
