I realize your post is now ancient by SI standards-it was posted yesterday but I just read it now. First I don't agree that there is nowhere to go but up-there is always down. Your comment that one could not get PLC for less than 20 is already proven wrong. With all the euphoria, PLC has a number of problems-

1) competition-obviously doing the procedure percutaneously is easier than PLC's method
2) there are a limited # of patients who will qualify for the procedure
3) there will be limits as to what HMO's as well as hospitals(who are now often in risk sharing arrangements) will pay for the procedure

(I presently have no position in PLC)
