MU gave 500 millions free in capital gain on its stock to Intel, to finance the ramp up of RDRAM.

Aside from the unparsability, that statement is nonsense. Intel paid Micron $500 million for stock which Intel later sold for $2.5 billion or so. Most would consider that a pretty good deal for Intel.
