Indeed, the period when they’ll have to recognize that Ukraine can’t win will be very dangerous. The crazier folks, the absolutists - will push for a war with Russia.

I’m sure that over the decades since the USSR fell apart - and NATO proceeded with their eastward expansion - the issues about how far they can be pushed have been discussed and gamed a thousand times. So, all the key participants in these future discussions already gave it a good deal of thought. Hopefully, sanity prevails.

According to Dreizin, apparently, the situation in Severodonetsk is setting up to be of great importance - and, apparently, is likely to be resolved not in Ukraine's favor. The anti-Russian radicals know this - and will try to escalate the shipments of weapons and whatever they think may help Ukraine. If this happens - imo, it will begin to happen within the next week or two.
