Neighborhood watch: I do not even lock my front door and haven't except for a very few times in over 30 years. I have never had anything stolen. The folks come around to try and sell me alarm systems and I tell them to get lost.
Your neighborhood watch thing sounds horrible to me. The last thing I want to be a part of is a paranoid vigilante group. If I lived in an area with so much crime I was that worried about it I would move.
Too many people are too paranoid about everything. And I don't want to encourage it.
That is what Bush prayed on during 9/11 and people willingly gave away their civil rights for his supposed protection and started two wars . Exaggerated fear is where the despots always start when they want to exercise control over the people. Now we have to worry about the government.
One of the characteristics that seem to differentiate liberals from conservatives is their amount of fear. Conservatives generally are more fearful than liberals.
I try no to be paranoid. It can become a bad habit.
Paranoia strikes deep, into your life it will creep, it starts when your always afraid-lol. siliconinvestor.com |
